How Baunty came to be
A story of love and courage
When he was little, Baunty was playing by a river. It was raining hard, and the water carried him far away, all the way to The Hundred Burrow Wood. It was Mama Strawberry who found him. She took him in, warmed him up, fed him and told him stories. Mama Strawberry became his mama. Today, Baunty has lots of friends and helps Mama Strawberry prepare delicious treats for everyone in The Hundred Burrow Wood. And guess what? He's already learned to write! So now he can send his letters to you every month.
Sometimes, deep in our hearts, we know that the people around us are exactly the right ones. That's how it is for Baunty, too.
About us
We are two mothers
We love books. We find wonder in simple things. We love swimming in lakes and walking through the woods.
As children, we spent our days in enchanted worlds and enjoyed long, unhurried days.
As mothers, we spent evenings reading stories to our children and afternoons creating little worlds from paper and treasures gathered in nature.
Tina dreams up the stories and brings them to paper. Regina brings colour and life to the words.
Together, we have created a world to explore: The Hundred Burrow Wood, where month after month, Baunty and his friends share little adventures and big emotions.
Today, we are happy to share this magic with you.
Our deepest wish is that Baunty's letters will help your family discover a new ritual: moments of tenderness and listening, time to be together, room for imagination, memories to cherish and curiosity to grow.
